Q: What are the benefits of membership?

A: Members receive periodic email updates with information on research and student opportunities, relevant conferences, events, books, and journals, and also receive registration discounts at SMPC conferences.

A: $40 for a two-year membership.

A: Meetings are held every 2 years (the next meeting will be Aug 2011 at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY). Meeting information is posted on our website.

A: Researchers, students, or others interested in the study of music cognition.

Q:How and when are board members elected?

A: Positions on the board are filled every two years, as member terms expire. Nominees must be SMPC members in good standing (self-nominations are accepted). Voting is handled by the SMPC secretary using an anonymous, web-based system.
