2024 Early Career Award
Amy Belfi
Amy Belfi is an associate professor of psychology at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Amy’s research spans multiple areas, including the study of music-evoked autobiographical memories, musical anhedonia, and musical aesthetics. Her research involves behavioral tasks as well as neuroimaging and is currently funded by the NIH. She has published in a broad range of outlets and is presently serving as editor of the journal Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Arts. As a member of the SMPC board she contributed to the formation of our Anti-Racism and Equity committee. Her research productivity is particularly impressive given that she is based at a primarily undergraduate and primarily engineering oriented institution.
