Miriam Lense

Miriam Lense is an assistant professor in the department of otolaryngology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her research focuses on issues that bridge basic science with translational applications, including the role of rhythm in scaffolding social engagement early in life, and the incorporation of music cognition in psychological interventions to support child and family wellbeing. She is currently a PI On two concurrent NIH grants, an MPI on a third NIH grant, and a PI on an NEA grant. She has published broadly and is an author on a chapter in Rene Flemings recent edited volume Music and the Mind.
